Tomáš Strnad began his financial career in 1991 at Česká spořitelna as a business graduate from the University of Economics in Prague. He worked as a stockbroker at Česká spořitelna in the period 1991-1995, and later led the securities trading team. In the years 1995-1996, he held the position of director of the mutual and investment fund management department at Spořitelní investiční společnost, a.s.
At the beginning of 1997, he accepted an offer from the American Citibank and joined the team of the newly founded Czech branch of the investment company Citicorp as an investment manager and Vice President. In 1998, he took over the management of the company and remained in the position of director until the end of 2003. The company gained a very good name among clients and was awarded the Paegas Signum Temporis award for the best fund of 2001 in the Czech Republic.
In 2003, Tomáš Strnad ended his career at Citigroup and initiated the first steps to establish Accredio, a.s. as one of the founding partners. As the company's CEO, he is mainly responsible for all business processes, economics, finance and development.
He later expanded his education from the University of Economics in Prague by studying in the USA, where he received an MBA degree. Among others, he gained his professional experience thanks to internships at the London Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, the investment bank Salomon Brothers in New York and the private banks Offit Bank New York and Banque Bruxelles Lambert in Geneva. He also completed an educational and training program at the New York Institute of Finance. Since 2009 till 2021, he has been teaching economics and finance externally at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague.
