Tomáš Strnad left Citigroup in 2003 to form Accredio and become one of its chief partners. As the CEO, he is responsible for the group’s business processes and development. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and has an MBA from Barrington University in the USA.

Between 1997 and 2003, he worked as a Portfolio Manager for mutual funds at Citicorp. He took over the management of the company in 1998 and remained its director until the end of 2003. The company gained the trust of clients and was awarded the Paegas Signum Temporis prize for the best fund of 2001 in the Czech Republic.

From 1995 to 1996 he was the director of the mutual fund management department at Spořitelní investiční společnost, a.s.

Between 1991 and 1995, he worked at Česká spořitelna as a stock broker and later as Head of Securities Trading. He gained his professional experience at the London Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, Salomon Brothers in New York and Banque Bruxelles Lambert in Geneva, among others. He also completed an educational and training programme at the New York Institute of Finance.

Ing. Štěpán Lacina

Štěpán Lacina has been one of the chief partners of the Accredio Group since its formation. As the Chief Sales Officer, he is responsible for the creation and implementation of sales processes and customer relationships. He is also involved in the preparation of the Group’s marketing strategy. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and completed studies at the Business College of Colorado State University.

Between 2001 and 2003, he worked as the director of private banking at Citibank, a.s., where was in charge of managing private banking centres in Prague, Brno and Ostrava. He played a major role in the preparation and marketing of Citibank’s investment products in the Czech Republic.

At Citibank, he worked as an internal trainer for investment training programmes in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Russia. From 1997 to 2001 he worked at Citicorp, where he was responsible for the marketing and sale of investment products.

As a member of the legislative committee, he was actively involved in the preparation of investment standards for the Securities Commission of the Czech Republic and the Union of Investment Companies. He completed educational and training programmes related to derivative financial instruments and portfolio management in Prague and London. He is a certified Investment Trainer and a licensed Investment Adviser.

Tomáš Krsička is one of the chief Group partners. As the Chief Investment Officer, he is responsible for the development and implementation of investment decisions. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and in 2000 was appointed as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) by the CFA Institute. He is one of the founding members of the Czech CFA Society.

Between 1997 and 2003, he worked at Citigroup as a financial analyst, monitoring selected sectors of the Czech economy and preparing fundamental and credit analyses of securities issuers.

In 2000, he assumed the role of a portfolio manager and also managed and coordinated the activities of Citigroup’s team of analysts. In the period 1996-1997, he worked as a financial analyst at Česko-kalifornská investiční společnost, a.s., where he worked on financial analyses of companies and was actively involved in the preparation of investment banking projects.

In 2012, he was awarded by the CFA as a leader of the winning team and a representative of the Czech Republic during the European finals of the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2012. He also received the Paegas Signum Temporis award as a portfolio manager of the best performing stock fund in the Czech Republic in 2001.

Tomáš A. Matějovský

Tomáš A. Matějovský is one of the founding partners of the company. He is responsible for the business strategy and relationships with financial institutions and partners in Switzerland, where he has permanent residence. He also currently works as an independent adviser for Swiss private bank E. Gutzwiller & Cie., Banquiers, in Basel.

Between 1980 and 1983, he formed and managed the portfolio management department of Zurich-based Ueberseebank AG (currently AIG Private Bank). He had also worked at the Zurich stock exchange for Private Bank & Trust Co. Ltd. since 1972. Mr. Matějovský studied at the University of Economics in Prague and at the University of Zurich.

In 1983, he formed Gutzwiller & Partner Ltd., a Zurich-based company specialising in portfolio management and private banking for one of the oldest private banks in Switzerland, E. Gutzwiller & Cie., Banquiers, Basel, becoming its Chief Executive Officer and the holder of the banking licence. He became the firm’s majority shareholder, member of the board of directors and executive director in 1992 when he purchased the company together with other partners as part of a management buyout. After having sold his majority share at Gutzwiller & Partner Ltd. to Rabobank (Schweiz) AG, Zurich in 1996, he remained a member of the board of directors until the end of 1999 and later became its private adviser.
